Our clients originally thought a move was in their future. But as they walked through multiple homes and condos, they realized none of them offered the beauty and location of their current home and backyard. Instead of moving, they decided to gut their home and renovate it with the intention of aging in place

Our team designed and constructed a modern home that honors its original mid-century modern roots. Extra-wide hallways and doorways, a no-lip shower, and an elevator make the space completely accessible and comfortable for the couple for many years to come.

While the homeowners wanted the home to function well for the future, they also wanted it to feel luxurious and modern. Our designers kept the color palette neutral, while using textures and shapes to add interest and offer a high-end experience. Calacatta marble is the showpiece of the primary bathroom suite and beautifully complements the floating vanity with under-cabinet lighting.

Keeping accessibility in mind, we installed an elevator that connects all three levels of the home, ensuring the couple can age in place, regardless of what hurdles might arise. (We also hear the grandkids enjoy riding in the elevator on their visits!)
