Client Vision: Maximizing Space and Comfort
Our clients in Portland had a clear vision for their attic space: transform it into a luxurious primary suite that perfectly suited their needs. They wanted an elevated space, separate from the rest of the house for more privacy. Formerly housing empty attic space, they sought to utilize the entire area for their new sanctuary. With the objective of creating a temperature-controlled environment within their old house, the remodel was underway.
Optimizing Accessibility and Functionality
The first task was to revamp the stairs for improved access and layout, ensuring seamless integration with the rest of the home. Elevating the space, they aimed to establish a sense of separation from the rest of the house while incorporating custom storage solutions to maximize functionality.
Renewing Every Element: From Structure to Style
Every element of the attic was completely renewed, as it was previously an underutilized area. Our clients were able to easily add an additional bathroom by cleverly positioning the new one directly above an existing bathroom., meeting their requirements for convenience and practicality. Removing the chimney opened up the space, allowing for the installation of skylights that flood the room with natural light, especially during the darker winter months.
Attention to Detail: Customization and Personality
Attention to detail was paramount, with even the vanity being assembled in place in three separate pieces for a customized fit. To inject vibrancy and personality into the design, they opted for a bold, bright orange color scheme, complemented by a sleek bathtub for added luxury.
