The start of our work on this lovely grand old historic colonial residence was to improve the driveway and overall exterior appeal of an existing addition that did not tie in aesthetically to the main home.
The existing driveway was very narrow and the front of the addition had aluminum windows. Our solution was to widen the driveway and line it with lighted low brick walls. We also installed wood replacement windows & french doors and added a trellis to the front of the addition that compliments the home and acts as a covered porch and a transition space for the driveway to the interior of the house.
Over the next several years we also remodeled the third floor which included tearing off the roof to add insulation and then rebuilding it, a bath and two bedrooms. Next, we remodeled the rec room and updated the kitchen on the main floor.
Finally we connected our client with DRG landscaping which designed and built a beautiful outdoor living area in their backyard. Now no matter where you are in or around this beautiful old home, it feels inviting and cohesive.
